A little about me

I was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and as a child my family moved to Luxembourg where I spent my formative years. I completed my last two years of high school in London before moving to the United States for university.

I have a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Rhode Island School of Design in Film and Animation. After many all-nighters working in the studio, I graduated and moved to New York City to work in animation with a very talented group of artists. We created animations for a video game that was celebrating The Princess Bride’s anniversary. Inconceivable!

I had become increasingly interested in graphic design and photography so while working at a cupcake shop I took graphic design classes at the School of Visual Arts and lighting and portraiture classes at the International Center of Photography.

That led me to my role as Creative Director at Leblon Cachaça where I worked with our small Marketing and Sales team to spread the word across Manhattan and the world about our great products. I wore many hats and learned a great deal, all while enjoying some great cocktails! We worked on big creative campaigns, and my favorite experience was traveling to Rio de Janeiro to direct a photoshoot on Leblon Beach.

While looking for opportunities outside the big city, my husband got an offer with an agency in Portland and off we were on our next adventure. I joined the Advertising Department at Kroger as a Designer and had my first big corporate experience. It was a well-oiled machine and I loved working on the seasonal campaigns and seeing my work hanging up from the ceilings as I walked through the stores.

You’ll find me now at Nike’s World Headquarters working in the Digital Product Creation Studio as a Sr. Image Artist for apparel. I really admire how Nike cultivates innovation and values outside-the-box thinking. I’ve been able to express my creativity through problem-solving and finding more effective ways to work.

When I’m able, I take on clients on a freelance basis. I’ve worked with Keen Footwear, Portland Cider, Diamond Foods, and Barnacle Parking to name a few. The scope of the work can range from product photography to creating a brand language - everything from logo, marketing collateral, and web design.

On my free time I love to take photos of people, it brings me great joy to capture the beauty of everyday life. This past year I’ve coached my kids’ soccer, volleyball, and swim teams. It was an extremely fun and fulfilling experience that got me off the couch and moving! We love being outdoors seeing this beautiful world.

Life now takes us to the Netherlands where my husband has accepted a role with Nike in EMEA. I’m looking for new opportunities and am excited to connect and meet new people. Aangenaam!
